Mothers Who Kill

Maternal Instinct is often thrown around in society, courts, and psychology to the point it is a cliche. Most mothers are good people however sometimes things go horrifically wrong. The purpose of this information is not to attack these mothers. It is to repel notions that mothers are always the best choice for their children and the notion of maternal instinct is universal.

Zakieya Latrice Avery[28] accused of killing her two children, two older siblings critically injured, has told investigators that she thought an exorcism was necessary to remove the presence of the devil. Two children, ages 1 and 2, were found dead and two others were injured. Police recovered two knives from the home after responding there Friday. Another woman charged in the killings, Monifa Denise Sanford, has made similar statements.

"It began with an attempt to break the neck of the youngest child, it proceeded into strangulation and ultimately graduated into stabbing," McCarthy said.

Despite deeply penetrating stab wounds, three of the four children weren't covered in blood when officers arrived, but instead wrapped in wet blankets.

"The women, after the attack, showered together to wash the blood off themselves, cleaned-up the crime scene and then prepared the children to see God," McCarthy added. "It was to be an everlasting life in heaven."

Rachel Johnson, 32, and Daylan Johnson, 7, were dead at their home when her estranged husband called police shortly before 8 a.m., Springfield Police Chief Stephen Moody said. Ayden Johnson, 10, was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the woman shot the boys and took her own life, Moody said.

The children's father, 39-year-old Arthur Johnson, had gone to the home to pick up his sons and take them to school when he found his wife and sons, Moody said. The two were separated but still parenting together, Moody said.

Moody said the woman and her sons all had gunshot wounds, but the Clark County coroner would determine the cause of death. http://news.msn.com/crime-justice/ohio-mom-2-sons-dead-in-apparent-murder-suicide#tscptme
